So. Blog. Whatever shall I fill you with?
So apparently now I have some time yo finally begin filling my personal blog. So whatever should I write into it? There’s just nothing interesting happening in my life right now…
NOT.
Let’s summarize the last month: Wow. Or rather: RIFT. Yes, pun intended.
Little more than a month ago, I was going through a bit of a personal crisis. Quit my former job and pretty much lost all motivation. There was this game I’ve been playing since it was in Alpha that I really liked, and somewhere deep in the back of my head I had that one sentence: “If it would be that, I’d do it, no matter what”.
About four weeks ago, I got an unexpected email in my inbox, with the sender sitting at Trion Worlds. Apparently I was recommended to them by a friend already working in their US team.
To cut things short – after a few phone calls and an impromptu meeting in London I signed my contract for the position of German Community Manager for RIFT.
A month passed, and with it a week at gamescom. A stressful but also exhilarating week. I enjoyed it a lot – our community rocks, and so does the team I am fortunate enough to work with. Trion in general is an amazing place to work at.
Right now, I’m in the middle of finding a place in the UK to live at. Darn, flat prices are insane there. But there are some nice places around, and I’m definitely looking forward to living there. Finally – Doctor Who and Torchwood live on TV
I love the people and the landscape. So let’s see how things work out.
By the by, I will probably be in or around London by the end of September! See ya there
